Ø   Three size classes, giving everyone a fair chance to win.

Ø   Cash payouts for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place boats in each class.

Ø   Large traveling trophy presented to the best ABYA Yacht Club boat in any size class.

Ø   Decoration Theme – Open

Ø   Judging will be based on the Open Theme format with an open theme, judging will be heavily weighted toward the use of lights. Any theme or design used must be of good taste appropriate for family entertainment. Boat Town USA, in its sole discretion,  has the right to deny participation to any boat with decorations deemed inappropriate for the parade. If you have any questions, please have your theme or design pre-authorized by Boat Town USA.

Ø   Judging will be based upon the following criteria: 1) Use of lights,  2) Use of music,  3) Use of costumes, 4) Use of other non-lighted decorations

  "By digitally signing below, I hereby agree to participate in the Boat Town USA, Inc. Festival of Lights Parade
   on Saturday, August 7th, 2010. I understand that I am solely responsible for the safe and proper conduct of the
   vessel and crew. I also agree to comply with the recognized Rules of the Road and Special Rules established
   by the Parade Committee. I further understand that the Festival of Lights Parade will begin at the mouth of the
   Clinton River, on Lake St. Clair, and that it will continue down the Clinton River into the City of Mt. Clemens. I
   also recognize that the Pre-Parade Captains Meeting is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4th,
   2010 at the Huron Pointe Yacht Club, 32800 South River Road, Harrison Township, MI 48045,
and the
   Post-Parade Awards will be distributed on Sunday, August 8th, 2010.  The time and location of this
   presentation will be announced at a later date.
